Alice
Alice had two dresses she had sourced from a charity shop, and hoped to combine elements of both, together with some salvaged lace from her mother's wedding dress. She was unsure about what she wanted and we explored various options and designs incorporating features she liked.
The final design used only one of the dresses, which was extensively remodelled to create a corset style , strapless bodice with piping to the top and bottom edges for definition.
The A line skirt was reattached to the bodice and shortened across the front, leaving a long train.
A top with long sleeves and a back fastening was created using lace from her mother's wedding dress. We followed the line of the lace pattern to give a cutaway back to show the laced back of the bodice.
A perfect simple and rustic style, with great sentimental value, for a lovely country wedding.
