Kinross coat
This beautiful Kinross coat was made from double-face cashmere, which required very careful handling to shorten the sleeves.
The new length was marked in chalk, the fabric carefully cut and the two layers separated, using tweezers to remove the white strands holding the layers together. The two faces are machine stitched separately and the edges turned in, before hand stitching the lines of machine stitching together to create a neat finish with no raw edges on either side of the fabric.
